BALLET AND POINTE
Our ballet classes include barre and center work, progressions and choreographed dances that enrich the movements of classical ballet. All dancers will say that ballet is the base for creating an incredible dancer and is the foundation for most dance forms. Dancers will develop strength, agility, grace, poise, flexibility and balance in this style of dance.

JAZZ
Our jazz classes enrich and extend students' technical skills through center and progression work. Skills such as extension work, leaps and turns are incorporated into choreographed routines which challenge the dancers' jazz and memory skills. Stylized Broadway and West Coast forms of traditional jazz.

TAP
All tap classes build on rhythm and musicality. We vary our tap instructors to include the old New York/Broadway style of tap and presentation with the current trends of rhythm, hoofin' and acappella tap. Class emphasis is on clean, clear knowledge and delivery of tap technique.

Musical Theatre:
Love these Broadway Musicals? Hamilton, Matilda, Cats, Oklahoma, Chicago, Crazy For You, Grease, Singin in the Rain......This class is for you! Musical Theatre classes will explore the different styles of choreography through dance and acting.

HIP-HOP
Our dynamic hip-hop classes provide students with the latest, cutting edge jazz, hip-hop and street choreography. Dancers should expect to receive fast paced progressions and choreography from both the East and West coast.

Contemporary/Lyrical Contemporary dance borrows from ballet, jazz, social dances, and many modern dance techniques of the 20th century. Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions, being able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotion. It focuses on body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment.

Intro to Dance
Children will enjoy their dance class overstuffed with dance stretching and creative dance movements in jazz, tap and ballet. Dancers will also sing and learn the basics in flexibility and tumbling skills. These classes will focus on developing coordination, rhythm, and the fundamentals of expression.

PRIMARY COMBO
Our young dancers receive a taste of all three basic styles of dance in this combination technique and choreography class. Dancers are introduced to the basic in ballet barre and center work, the rhythm and syncopation of tap sounds, and the basic technical skills required of the jazz dancer.

Stretching & Conditioning
Dancers are athletes. In order to keep our bodies in tune with our technique, conditioning and stretching will optimize your dance ability. Class will focus on proper stretching technique and conditioning for a dancer's body.

Jumps, Leaps, and Turns
A technique class in which students will work on specific skills they need for their other classes.  This class will not have a recital dance so that students can focus solely on their technique the entire year.  This class will help prepare students to be on JMD Company as well as help them succeed in their recital classes.

Tumbling/Acro
A highly athletic class focused on developing precision acrobatic elements. This class introduces and hones acrobatic skill work for use within choreography and performance.
